As an established recognition centre, UK NARIC worked with participating recognition centres (ENICs) in Serbia and Albania in a year-long capacity building project to:

• identify opportunities for development in the emerging centres’ approach to recognition through desk-based research and in-country visits
• facilitate development of a fully coherent and consistent approach to recognition among the recognition centres whilst also having the potential to extend to the needs of higher education institutions and other stakeholders.

Tailoring UK NARIC’s successful capacity building materials, the project involved a bespoke two day workshop for beneficiaries in the two ENICs along with representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and a number of universities from the two countries.
