Qualification Benchmarking

Benchmarking involves comparing and analysing the level of a qualification against an identified standard or benchmark which may include qualifications or occupational standards.

Using Ecctis's tried and tested methodology for evaluating qualifications, based on the principles of the Lisbon Recognition Convention, we can provide qualification assessments to determine standing in comparison to other qualifications, professional standards or qualification frameworks.

  • Increase national and global recognition of your qualification(s) or institution With the vast range of education providers and qualifications available, it can be difficult for graduates to demonstrate how their qualifications compare to more widely known national or international qualifications. An evaluation or benchmarking exercise of a qualification to established and well-known standards can serve as an excellent promotional tool for institutions to reassure prospective students that their qualification will be recognised.
  • Expert recommendations on enhancement and development of your qualification(s). Benchmarking can also inform qualification development through objective recommendations on the improvement of qualification design and assessment. "The study has…enabled the Institute to benefit from Ecctis's extended international networks to market its provisions more effectively. This will be of real benefit to the Institute, ensuring that the rigour and high standards of the …programme continue to be recognised."
